"Unleash Your Inner Ansel Adams:  B&W Landscapes."  led by George Wilson.

"Unleash Your Inner Ansel Adams:  B&W Landscapes."  | 9:00 am - Noon | This session has an extra fee | Description: It is time to unleash your inner Ansel Adams and experience Cheyenne Canyon and the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary. Black and white photography has a timeless beauty to it and the use of black and white in photography is far more than just desaturating an image.
Black and white is dependent upon composition, focusing, the use of light and shadow and textural contrasts. Black and white images can be striking, engaging, breathtaking and definitely moody depending upon the vision of the photographer.

As we explore the grasslands, cliff, canyon walls and the Cheyenne River basin, the landscape will begin to reveal its hidden beauty. The patterns and textures of the sand, rocks and deep blue sky offer endless possibilities for compelling compositions. The clear skies with contrasting clouds provide the perfect dynamic range making black and white images possible all day. If you have an infrared converted camera – bring it along!

George will share his pro-tips for the elements of design, composing, exposing and capturing on camera compelling landscape images. For the more advanced photographer, we will discuss elements of design and advanced exposure techniques to improve your
photographs.
